Blythe Jail

Riverside County Blythe Jail is a medium-security Adult in Blythe, Riverside County, California. The 121-bed capacity facility has been operational since 1997 and boasts of about 4626 bookings yearly. This Adult facility hosts inmates from all of Riverside County under the governorship of the California Sherriff.

Two visitors per inmate will be allowed to visit due to physical distancing requirements. Visitors must be 18 years or older to visit. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

 

Cois M. Byrd Detention Center

Southwest Detention Center (Cois M. Byrd Detention Center) is a medium security level County Jail located in the city of Murrieta, California. The facility houses Male Offenders who are convicted for crimes which come under California state and federal laws. The County Jail was opened in 1993.

1 visitor per inmate will be allowed to visit due to physical distancing requirements. Public parking is available in front of the jail.

 

John J. Benoit Detention Center

The John J. Benoit Detention Center is the largest project that the County of Riverside has ever constructed. It has a four-story, 1,626-bed housing structure, a three-story support building containing inmate intake, transfer and release areas, medical clinics, and a full-service kitchen with food storage.

Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility

The Larry D. Smith Correctional is a medium-security inmate facility for Riverside County. It is a  294-cell building and houses up to 500 inmates. The facility contains ancillary space providing adjacent support functions for administrative and Sheriff offices, transport holding, property storage, isolation cells, recreation yards, and associated support spaces.

Robert Presley Detention Center

Located in the downtown area of Riverside, California, the Robert Presley Detention Center was opened in 1989 replacing the old Riverside County Jail. RPDC and the Detention Care Unit at Riverside University Health Systems are under the command of a Sheriff’s Captain and are administered under the direction of the Corrections Division Chief Deputy.

Located in the city of Banning, the Smith Correctional Facility is the largest correctional facility managed by the Sheriff’s Department. The facility also hosts various Corrections Division programs, including the Supervised Electronic Confinement Program, Work Release Program, Residential Substance Abuse Treatment program, Sheriff’s Inmate Training and Education Bureau, a commercial printing shop, centralized warehouse and laundry services, as well as additional counseling, vocational, and educational programs. RIVERSIDE COUNTY SHERIFF COURT SERVICES

The Sheriff’s Court Services Division operates as an officer of the court, handling the receipt, service, and execution of all civil processes and orders legally submitted for service.

For a civil process to be served by the Sheriff, it must meet certain legal requirements:

      • It must be valid.
      • Issued by an authorized entity.
      • Include proper legal instructions with an original signature.

Before the Sheriff’s Office can serve processes on your behalf, you must obtain a court order. Please note that only attorneys are authorized to provide legal advice; the Sheriff’s Office does not offer legal counsel.
